A passion for creating spaces

House for all started as an idea after a small conversation Nobuko Miyake-Stoner had with a young man from Japa riding the train. The pair discussed the death of a recent young woman who committed suicide and Nobuko lamenting on the future of Japan’s youth.

The young man responded that Japan does not need people who are not strong enough to survive in today’s world. From that conversation House for All was started. With the leadership of Clayton Kimoto and the coordination of Bob Miyake-Stoner the three began to create a vision to help the youth of Japan and Hawaii.

In 2019 House for All (Hiroshima) was started with just a couple of young students. A house was made available to provide educational and training opportunities. The youth were able to take tours and learn from several volunteers regarding future employment opportunities. Cross-cultural exchange was facilitated with volunteers traveling from Hawaii, California and Oregon to HIroshima to further teach English and educate on American culture.

Today, we work to expand our activities and further create opportunities for the youth of Hawaii.

As we look to the future the promise of further opportunities look bright.
